This page explains how to delete your Karma account and the personal data associated with it. You can do this in the Karma app, or request deletion from this page if you no longer have the app installed.
Delete in the Karma app
If you still have the app:
- Open the Karma app and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm deletion. This permanently closes your account; it is not a temporary freeze or deactivation.
Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app, or cannot access Settings, email us to start a deletion request:
Email support@karma-app.com to delete your accountPlease include the email address on your Karma account so we can verify the request. We may ask for additional confirmation before deleting the account.
We aim to complete account deletion within 30 days of verifying your request (sooner when possible). You will receive a confirmation email when it is done.
What we delete
When your account is deleted, we delete the user data associated with that account, including:
- Account details (name, email, date of birth, sign-in credentials)
- Profile information (photo, bio, skills and interests, general area)
- Help requests and offers you posted
- In-app messages and shared photos tied to your account
- Identity-verification result we store (verified / not verified and reference number)
- Location and device data tied to your account, where we hold it
Deleting your account is permanent. You will need to create a new account if you want to use Karma again later.
What may be retained, and why
In limited cases we may retain certain information after account deletion, as described in our Privacy Policy:

Waitlist only (no app account)
If you joined the website waitlist but never created a Karma app account, there is no app account to delete. To stop receiving waitlist emails and remove your waitlist email, unsubscribe via any waitlist message, or email support@karma-app.com.
